Calm, kind and unhurried

Patients and families describe Dr. Rifat’s patience and calming presence again and again. Many first came to her frightened: after a bad experience, after years of avoiding the dentist, or simply because the dental chair has always felt like a hard place to be.

One patient wrote that her calm nature “puts you at ease”. Another, who had felt anxious with several dentists, wrote: “you will see me smiling and laughing at her practice.”

For nervous adults

If fear has kept you away from the dentist, you are not alone, and you will not be judged. Dr. Rifat will listen, explain everything in plain language, and agree a plan with you. You stay in control: you can pause or stop at any time.

If you have panic attacks, tell us when you book. She will take the time to talk with you first, and you set the pace.

Nothing more than you need

Dr. Rifat keeps treatment as simple, gentle and minimally invasive as she can. That means fewer surprises, and no more time in the chair than necessary.

For nervous children

During her years in hospital dentistry, paediatricians often asked Dr. Rifat for her opinion on children’s dental care, and parents praised her kindness. She still welcomes nervous children, and takes the time to build their trust before she begins.

She also cares for autistic children and children with Down syndrome and other special needs. Read more about special care dentistry.
